FAQ

1. How old are you?
Heeehhhh.. I’m a third year in university. :’3

2. Are you Japanese?
Nope. American Born Chinese, haha. I know Mandarin to a degree, aside from English. In terms of reading/writing Chinese, I prefer traditional characters. I can sort of make do with simplified, though, too.

I can understand basic Japanese phrases from time to time when listening in on a conversation, but that’s about it, really.

3. But you reply to Spanish comments, too!
Oh, that’s my friend, Sayosi, helping me out. I used to take Spanish classes, but they never really stuck in high school… I have friends helping me with Japanese comments as well.

4. What mic do you use to record?
A rather simple $5 dollar mic that isn’t made anymore. o_o;
NEC with a boomstand, I think.

5. What is a pop screen?
A sort of “screen” that keeps you from puffing into the microphone. (Like if I said “pie” into the mic without one, it’d be PUH-ie, lol.)

6. Which recording programs are good?
I’m personally not so sure. I’ve used the Sound Recorder on Windows for the longest time, but I sometimes use Cool Edit Pro nowadays.

7. How do you prevent the music from getting muddled in with your recording, yet clear?
Check the Simple Guide to Recording. :3

8. What program do you use to mix the music with?

Uhmm, Cool Edit Pro. :’D

9. What program do you use to make videos with?
Windows Movie Maker or VirtualDub. Mostly the former.

10. Where do you buy / How do you make a pop screen?
Check the link here for further details about that.

11. How do I record for more than 60 seconds on Sound Recorder?
Copy paste until desired length of time~
You can also use Cool Edit to record alongside playing a song file in there by hitting a button (R?) in one of the tracks then pressing the red record button,  but I won’t be going into details with Cool Edit there.
